In this photo, taken in June 2003, the sixty year old sweet gum is still at the nursery De Limieten in Huizen. The planting of the thirteen metres high tree at the Witteveenplein in Rotterdam took place at November 20 in 2003 by nursery De Limieten and Werf Feijenoord.

In the autumn of 2006 it has been determined that the old tree did not survive the relocation. The tree has been cut down and replaced by a younger sweet gum of about the same length.
